Why HelpWantedNWA.com?

Hi my name is John Marquez and I am the founder of the web site. As much as it appears that I developed the idea so I could copy Monster or any other web site, I didn’t. I was in a restaurant and I saw somebody come in and ask if they were hiring. The person working there said, "yes" and handed him a paper application. He had this look on his face like, "oh crap not another one of these to fill out". He sat down, spent the time to fill it out and returned it to the person. She responded, “the manager is not here, you will have to come back”.

I thought to myself, all the guy wanted to do is get a job and put some money in his pocket. Why does it have to be that hard? Thus, HelpWantedNWA.com was born. The purpose is to make the job finding process as easy and efficient as possible for both job seeker and employer. The current way has been described to me as “degrading”. I want to do it a better way.

How is it better? Fill out only one application online. We send your application directly to the employer and have them contact you when they are “in”. Isn’t going to different web sites to apply for jobs a pain? Each new web site, another “form” to fill out (if the stinking site doesn’t crash while you are on it). Employers, you get an application you can read, you eliminate stacks of paper, and the person you are dealing with has skill sets that are demonstrated by their ability to use the Internet.

Search jobs without having to drive up and down the street looking for signs (Now Hiring what?) Afterall, what is the point of having grass, trees and bushes at a business if they are covered with ugly signs?. Employer, save some trees and save some money. The Internet is the future and the future is now!

Another thing I thought would be different was to give something back to the people that make the web site a success. That’s you the users. One is our FREE Apple Video iPod we give away each month.
